Trains of Christmas

Ice skating

The Hagerstown Edge Skating Academy will host an open house as part of U.S. Figure Skating's National Skating Month. Activities include ice skating with free group lesson, an appearance by Miss Maryland, exhibitions by a synchronized team, a synchronized skating clinic and goofy games. An evening for family and friends to chat and listen to traditional music, drink nonalcoholic beverages and eat finger-food desserts. The acoustic music will include Celtic, folk, traditional, jazz, acoustic rock and more. There will be open-mic segments between sets. Today, 7 to 10 p.m. Sons of Israel Synagogue Social Hall, 209 E. King St., Chambersburg, Pa. $2 for ages 12 and older; free for ages 11 and younger. Donations and any money collected beyond costs will go to the synagogue.


Gallery Quartet

The Gallery Quartet's concert will pay tribute to the 250th anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's birth. The Cumberland Valley School of Music Symphonic Band will hold its annual winter concert.
