January 28, 2006

Robert Shawley of Williamsport High School was one of 100 seniors in Maryland to play in the Baltimore Touchdown Club's 10th annual All Senior/All Stars football game on Dec. 10, 2005, at St. Paul's School in Brooklandville, Md.

The BTC narrowed a field of 250 nominees down to the 100 seniors who played in the game. Sixty-two Maryland high schools were represented. Shawley played on the defensive line and had four tackles.

Shawley, the son of William and Lana Shawley, was a four-year varsity player at Williamsport, a team captain for two years and the team's most valuable player in 2004 and 2005, averaging 10 tackles a game. Shawley was a first team All-MVAL Antietam and All-Washington County selection and a second team All-Area pick.
