CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police charged four women with prostitution Wednesday for allegedly asking customers at two Chambersburg, Pa., spas for money in exchange for sex acts.

The women's names were not available Wednesday night, police said.

Police had been investigating possible prostitution at Evergreen Spa, at 1404 Lincoln Way East, and Apple Spa, at 1228 Lincoln Way East, both in Chambersburg. Undercover officers allegedly were asked if they would like to pay to engage in sex acts during the investigation, police said.

A search warrant was issued, and officers searched the spas Wednesday about 1 p.m. Four women were charged with prostitution, and police seized some assets and records of prior transactions at the businesses, police said.

The investigation was continuing.
