The man who allegedly robbed a Hagerstown bank Tuesday was being held without bail Wednesday night at the Washington County Detention Center, according to a spokeswoman there.Hagerstown Police charged Collin Hinds, 41, of 300 Merbaugh Circle in Hagerstown, with three counts of armed robbery, three counts of robbery, three counts of first-degree assault, three counts of second-degree assault and two counts of theft, Washington County District Court documents state.
Police arrested Hinds about 10 minutes after he allegedly robbed Bulldog Federal Credit Union at 17990 Garland Groh Boulevard in Hagerstown.
Hinds allegedly had a 9 mm handgun with him when he walked into the bank and demanded money from employees, documents state. Bank employees told officers that Hinds stole more than $5,100 from the bank, documents state.
Police said Hinds has a prior robbery conviction.
