Trio of schools lauded by board

Three schools that recently were honored by outside organizations were lauded by the Washington County Board of Education at its meeting Tuesday night.

Greenbrier Elementary School was recognized as a National PTA Parent Involvement School of Excellence, while Hickory Elementary and Western Heights Middle schools were honored for being named Character Education Schools of the Year by the Maryland Center for Character Education.
