Bulldog Federal Credit Union



Bulldog Federal Credit Union in Washington County will award two $500 scholarships, one each to a college-bound male and female member who exhibit high scholastic achievement and character.

To qualify, applicants must be high school seniors accepted to an accredited college or technical school. They must be members of Bulldog Federal Credit Union and able to fulfill other requirements as described in the Educational Scholarship Guidelines.

Guidelines and applications are available at most area high school guidance offices and at each credit union office.

Applications must be received by the scholarship committee by May 5.




Trinity United Church of Christ



The Trinity United Church of Christ Educational Fund Committee has announced that loan and scholarship applications are now available.

The deadline for applications is April 1.

Scholarships are available to Trinity members or children of Trinity members planning to attend trade school, undergraduate schools and some graduate programs. The loans are available to any Trinity member.

Available scholarships include Mary Elizabeth Benson Frantz Award; Robert E. Arthur Memorial Award; H. Clayton Moyer/Robert Long Award (graduate studies for the helping professions); Julia and Cornelia Bernd Scholarship; Robert D. Price Memorial Scholarship (seminary student); Paul Toms Memorial Scholarship; Myrtle Glass Memorial; Ada and George Delaney Memorial Scholarship; Jeffrey A. Miller Scholarship; Arthur Memorial Scholarship; Dorothy and Paul Kahl Memorial Scholarship; and Joan Speers Memorial.

State aid



Students may submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for federal and state financial aid. The deadline to submit the form for the 2006-07 academic year for most of Maryland's state need-based financial aid is March 1.

Forms are available at local libraries, high school guidance offices and at area colleges and universities. Students may file the FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
