Key Club members at the Franklin County Career & Technology Center shopped for and filled Christmas stockings for children at the Franklin County Homeless Shelter and the WIN Victim Services Shelter. They also filled gift bags with personal items for the women at the WIN shelter. At the 127th commencement ceremonies at Frostburg State University on Saturday, Dec. 17, nearly 70 area residents were among the 479 total candidates for degrees.

Candidates listed include those who completed requirements in December, as well as those who finished in August 2005.

More than 110 students from the Tri-State area were named to the dean's list at Frostburg State University for outstanding academic achievement for the fall 2005 semester.

To be eligible, a student must undertake a minimum of 12 credit hours and earn a cumulative semester grade point average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale.
