"End of the Spear" (PG-13) - A savage killer from a remote Amazon tribe becomes grandfather to the grandchildren of the North American man he killed. Starring Chad Allen, Louie Leonardo, Jack Guzman, Christine Souza and Chase Ellison.
"Underworld: Evolution" (R) - The saga of war between aristocratic vampires and barbaric werewolves continues. The film traces the beginning of the ancient feud between the two tribes as Selene (Kate Beckinsale), the vampire heroine, and Michael (Scott Speedman), a werewolf hybrid, try to unlock the secret of their bloodlines. Starring Bill Nighy, Derek Jacobi and Tony Curran.

National Federation of Music Clubs summer study award
The National Federation of Music Clubs is offering one $31,000 study award for six and a half weeks of summer music study at Brevard Music Center in Brevard, N.C., this summer. Deadline for applications is Feb. 21.
Students of band and/or orchestra (piano not included) throughout the United States are eligible to compete for the award. Applicants must be 14 to 21 years old by March 1 to be eligible.
