The Washington County Sheriff's Department is seeking the public's help in finding a couple charged with burglarizing a Fairplay home Jan. 4, Investigator Greg Alton said Thursday.

Police also are trying to connect allegedly stolen CDs and other items with their owners, Alton said.

Travis Kyle Jordan, 23, and Shanna Lee Tederick, 24, who share a last known address of 126 Eclipse Court, Apt. 3, in Martinsburg, W.Va., each are charged through arrest warrants with first-degree burglary, fourth-degree burglary, felony theft and malicious destruction of property worth more than $500, Alton said.

They are charged in the Jan. 4 burglary of a box containing documents and U.S. currency, collector's coins, a VHS camcorder and savings bonds from a home in the 9000 block of Jordan Road in Fairplay.

Police are looking to connect property recovered during search warrants with alleged victims of motor vehicle thefts in the county dating to January 2005, Alton said.

Allegedly stolen checks, CDs and CD carrying cases are among the items police recovered.

Checks were found in the name of "Darius Thomas" of Frederick, Md., Alton said. Many of the CDs recovered appear to be burned CDs, he said.

One CD had "To Bubba, Love Carla," dated 6/3/05 written on it. Other CDs have "Bubba's mix," "VA's CD," "VA's travel CD," the initials "SY" and "PEB" on them, Alton said.

Alton said police recovered large and small CD carrying cases.

One case is a red Cellular One carrying case, containing Fleetwood Mac and CDs with music from countries outside the United States.

Several Pantera burned CDs were recovered, Alton said.

Anyone with information about Jordan or Tederick's whereabouts may call the Sheriff's Department at 301-791-3020.

Anyone with information about the allegedly stolen property may call Alton at 240-313-2185 or 301-573-0893.
