CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Logan Lentz had a game-high 23 points and six assists to lead No. 5 Chambersburg to a 56-52 overtime victory Wednesday night over Delone Catholic (6-7).

Steph Addleman had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds and Courtney Salmon added 14 points for the Trojans (5-7).

No. 1 Hedgesville 64, Hampshire 35

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Miranda Reed scored 12 points and Ashton Butler had 10 as Hedgesville routed Hampshire.

The Eagles (7-1) led 38-11 at halftime.

Musselman 74, Keyser 57

INWOOD, W.Va. - Nikki Stephenson led Musselman with 15 points and 15 rebounds as the Applemen turned a halftime tie into a 17-point win over Keyser.


Cameron Davis had 21 points and eight rebounds and Rachel Boyd added 14 points and nine boards for Musselman (3-6).


St. James 77, Maret 73

ST. JAMES - Shannon Strange scored 34 points, including 10 in two overtime periods, to lead St. James to a double-overtime victory over Maret in a Mid Atlantic Conference game.

Mike Russ had eight rebounds for St. James (4-3, 3-1).

No. 5 Greencastle 71, Scotland 49

SCOTLAND, Pa. - Jordan Gembe and Adam Wiestling each scored 15 points to lead the Blue Devils past Scotland on Tuesday.

Jaren Gembe had 12 points and Dameatric Scott added 10 points and 12 rebounds for Greencastle (9-3).


Southern Maryland 67, HCC 63

LA PLATA, Md. - Sam Cain scored a team-high 19 points, including four 3-pointers, for HCC in a Maryland JuCo Conference loss to Southern Maryland.

Christi Bartlett and Lindsey Plotner each had 10 rebounds and Marissa Elliot and Requita Davis each had six assists for the Hawks (11-5, 2-3).


Episcopal 6, Mercersburg 3

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Mercersburg (3-4) got 3-0 wins from No. 3 Medora Hartz, No. 5 Jane Choi and No. 7 Rachel Greenberg.


Shippensburg 5K Run/Walk

The 22nd Memorial 5K Run/Walk will be held Feb. 4 at 10 a.m., beginning and ending at Shippensburg University's Heiges Field House. The course will follow campus and township roads with one minor hill, and awards will be given for overall, masters and age groups. Greencastle athletics news

All students going out for a spring sport at Greencastle-Antrim High School must receive a physical exam between Jan. 23 and March 6 in order to begin practice on March 6.

Free physicals will be given on Jan. 26, Feb. 2, Feb. 16 and Feb. 23 from 7:45-10:30 a.m. each day.

Junior wrestling tourney set for Feb. 5

The Wildcat Junior Wrestling Mid-Winter Classic will be held Feb. 5 at Saint James School.

Entry fee is $15 per wrestler and participants may enter two weight classes if they aren't in the same division. Registration deadline is Feb. 2. Best of Softball School

The second annual Best of Softball School will be held on four consecutive Saturdays from Feb. 18 through March 11 at the New Franklin Ruritan Community Center.

Girls in the 13-18 age group will meet from 2-5:30 p.m. on Feb. 18 and Feb. 25. Cost is $90.

Girls in the 8-12 age group will meet from 2-4:30 p.m. on March 4 and March 11.
