Bereavement support



A new support group for those who have lost a spouse will be forming soon at Rest Haven Funeral Home. It will be led by Mary Hedges, licensed, clinical social worker. The group is free. Call 301-733-3575.




Leukemia and lymphoma support



The John R. Marsh Cancer Center, in partnership with Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Maryland Chapter, sponsors a support group for patients and families affected by blood cancer: leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, MDS or myeloma. For details, call 1-301-665-4650.




Breastfeeding support



Tuesdays, Jan. 3, and Jan. 17, 1 to 2:30 p.m., Washington County Hospital, Pangborn Hall, room 124, Hagerstown. The group meets the first and third Tuesday of each month for pregnant women who are planning to breast-feed and mothers who are breastfeeding. Free. Call 301-790-8530.




Somerford Place - Memory Care Assisted Living Group



Tuesday, Jan. 3, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Somerford Place-Memory Care Assisted Living, 10014 Sharpsburg Pike, Hagerstown. The group meets the first Tuesday of the month. Light refreshments served. National Alliance for the Mentally Ill



Washington County, Tuesday, Jan. 3, 7 p.m., Trinity Lutheran Church, corner of North Potomac Street and Randolph Avenue, Hagerstown. The group meets on the first Tuesday of each month to educate and inform residents of Washington County about mental illness and to support individuals with mental illness and their families and caregivers. Headway Support

Jamie Sutton, registered dietitian, will speak on the subject of diet and your health. There will be time for questions. Labor of Love support
