A Hagerstown man was seriously injured while riding a motorcycle on West Washington Street Wednesday afternoon.

Dustin Knight, 25, of Hagerstown, was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he was struck by a GMC pickup at 2:50 p.m., Hagerstown Police said.

The driver of the truck stopped at a stop sign at Nottingham Road and was crossing West Washington Street when the driver struck Knight, police said. Police said the truck driver is a Hagerstown resident but would not release the person's name.

The driver told police he did not see Knight, who was driving east on West Washington Street at the time, police said.
