December 28, 2005

A Hagerstown video store was robbed at gunpoint Monday night by two masked and black-clad men, according to a written release from Hagerstown Police Department Sgt. Tim Wolford.

At 11:59 p.m., an employee of Hollywood Video, at 1580 Wesel Boulevard, called police to report the robbery. Two men, armed with handguns, went into the store and took an undetermined amount of money from the cash register, the release states.

The men, described as black and wearing black clothing and ski masks, fled the store, police said.

The store is taking inventory to determine what items were stolen in addition to the cash, Sgt. Paul Kifer said.

There were two employees and no customers in the store at the time of the robbery, which happened minutes before closing, Kifer said.

Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call them at 301-790-3700.
