Gallery holds reception for 'Emerging Women,' Roberts

December 27, 2005

The Contemporary School of the Arts and Gallery recently held a reception for "Emerging Women" and for Clyde Roberts. Guitarist Jessie Zeller played music.

The gallery is displaying mosaics by Sherri Loomis, whose work has been featured in the November/December issue of Maryland Life magazine.

Next month, the gallery will feature the work of Loomis and oil painter Bev Walker, an instructor at Somerset College. A preview of their work is now available at the gallery.

Pat Donohue and Joan Keith, both from Shepherdstown, W.Va., have works in watercolors that evoke natural themes and the ethereal.

Roberts, who has been creating watercolors for more than 60 years, was contacted during the show to provide a commissioned piece.
