WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Helen Lillian Grenawalt Olson, 83, of 124 Antietam Drive, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, at Waynesboro Hospital.
Born Nov. 28, 1922, in Winnebago, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Albert Herman and Julia Aidal Grenawalt.
Her husband, Lavern W. "Ole" Olson, died Aug. 21, 2005. They were married July 28, 1947.
She graduated from high school in Milwaukee in 1940.
She was employed as an executive secretary for various businesses throughout the United States, retiring in 1983.
She was a member of Church of the Apostles United Church of Christ in Waynesboro.
She was a member of the National AARP, and volunteered at Waynesboro Hospital.
She is survived by two daughters, Julie A. Colvard of Plattsburgh, N.Y., and Jill W. Cook of Waynesboro; one son, Scott T. Olson of Little Falls, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jodie S. Luning; four sisters, Hazel Kreuger, Beulah Taylor, Deloris Schmale and Florence Walton; and one grandson.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. The Rev. Dr. Carol A. Kipe will officiate.
There will be no viewing.

Roosevelt Gilardi, 88

Roosevelt "Ted" Gilardi, 88, formerly of Outer Drive in Hagerstown, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, at Avalon Manor Nursing Home.
Born Oct. 28, 1917, in Boonsboro, he was the son of the late Lawrence Gilardi and Bessie H. Gilardi.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Irene Wolf Gilardi, in 2004.
He was a 1937 graduate of Boonsboro High School.
He was employed by Mack Trucks, retiring in 1981.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Hagerstown, where he was a member of Friendship Men's Bible Class and United Methodist Men.
He was a member of B.P.O. Elks 378, Mack Trucks Retirees and West End Senior Citizens.
He is survived by one stepson, Harold Wolf of Hagerstown; one stepdaughter, Rosalie Shank of Maugansville; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by four sisters.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown. The Rev. Clark Carr will officiate. Burial will be in Broadfording Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Michael J. McCormick Sr., 74

BIG POOL - Michael Joseph McCormick Sr., 74, of 10882 Big Pool Road, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, at his home.
Born Aug. 7, 1931, in Little Cove, Pa., he was the son of the late Joseph McCormick and Laurel Johnson McCormick.
He had been employed as a supervisor by Floyd Kline Contractors.
He was a member of Mooresville Church of God.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Rozella C. Comer McCormick; three daughters, Barbara Moore and Sue Hawthorne, both of Hagerstown, and Peggy Holcomb of Spencer, W.Va.; two stepdaughters, Betty Benfield of Big Pool, and Nancy Baker of Hagerstown; two sons, Michael McCormick Jr. and Tom McCormick, both of Hagerstown; three stepsons, Jesse Whittaker of Fairplay, and Henry Whittaker and Butch Dagenhart, both of Hagerstown; one sister, Nellie Daley of Greencastle, Pa.; 26 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob McCormick and Ed McCormick; one stepson, Donnie Dagenhart; and one grandson.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home, Clear Spring. The Rev. Dean Metcalf will officiate. Burial will be in Parkhead Cemetery, Big Pool.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
