St. John's Episcopal Church, Hagerstown, the Rev. Scott Bellows will speak at the 8 a.m. communion service this Sunday. At the 10:15 A.M. communion service, the parish and youth choirs will present a festival of Advent lessons and carols.

Christian education for all ages begins at 9 a.m.




Asbury United Methodist Church, Shepherdstown, W.Va., the Rev. Rudolph Bropleh will lead the 11 a.m. service this Sunday on the topic, Preparing for the Party.

Sunday school for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m.




St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, the Rev. Mark Mooney will be speaking at 9:30 a.m. this Sunday on the topic, Heaven's Coming Down. Mooney and Joseph the puppet will also be featured at the service.

Sunday School classes for children, youth and adults are at 10:45 a.m. A five-week study which will continue through December focuses on Being a United Methodist.

Christ Reformed UCC in Cavetown, the Rev. Carol Hallman will speak at the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday on the topic, Do Not Be Afraid.

Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m. A blue Christmas service is planned for 2 p.m.

Pikeside United Methodist Church, Paynes Ford Road and U.S. 11, Martinsburg, W.Va., the Rev. Thomas Young Jr. will bring the message, You're Going to Have A Baby, at the 8:30 service this Sunday. The Sunday school Christmas program is at the 10:35 a.m.

Sunday School for all ages is at 9:15 a.m.

At 7 p.m., the chancel choir will perform its Christmas musical, In The Fullness of Time.




Mount Vernon Reformed UCC, Keedysville, the Rev. Delancy Catlett will speak on the topic, And You Shall Name Him Jesus, at the 10:40 a.m. service this Sunday.

Church of the Holy Trinity, Halfway, the Rev. Ted Haas will be conducting the 10:45 a.m. service this Sunday on the topic, Jesus, Homeless and a Refugee - Then and Now. Children's church meets during the service. Fellowship and light refreshments follow the service.

Wednesday night services begin at 7.
