County says proposed annexations consistent with comprehensive plan

The Washington County Commissioners decided Tuesday that two proposed annexations are consistent with the county's Comprehensive Plan.

Both properties are proposed to be annexed into the City of Hagerstown.

One property, known as the Bowers Annexation, consists of 5,595 square feet and is adjacent to the city. The property is at 304 Woodpoint Ave., just north of West Church Street.

The applicant has proposed building a single-family house on the property.

The other property, known as the Clemmer Annexation, consists of 6,502 square feet adjacent to the city.

The property is on Pangborn Boulevard, just north of Security Road. The applicant has proposed building a duplex on the property.
