"Abused"

By BRANDY CROASMUN

When I smell the rain,

I remember the pain.

When the wind calls my name,

I think of all my shame.

When the wind blows through the trees,

I think of you with a sudden need.

You were wrong about me

When you crashed and tried to kill me.

You tried to put me in the ground.

Make me scared to make a sound.

But with God I've found

I'm alive.

I left you. I survived.
