St. John's Episcopal Church, Hagerstown, the Rev. Scott Bellows will speak at the 8 and 10:15 a.m. services this Sunday. Colin Lodter on piano and the parish choir will present music at the later service.

Christian education for all ages begins at 9 a.m.

The St. Nicholas Fair begins at 11:30 a.m. for children, youth and adults. There will be crafts, music, shopping in the Christmas boutique, a silent auction and photos with St. Nicholas.

Asbury United Methodist Church, Shepherdstown, W.Va., the Rev. Rudolph Bropleh will lead the 11 a.m. service this Sunday on the topic, Help is on the Way.

Sunday school for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, the Rev. Mark Mooney will be speaking at 9:30 a.m. this Sunday on the topic, Be In The Light. Mooney and Joseph the puppet will also be featured at the service.


Sunday School classes for children, youth and adults are at 10:45 a.m. A five-week study which will continue through December focuses on Being a United Methodist.

St. Catherine Eastern Orthodox Church of Hagerstown, Vespers are at 6:30 this evening.

Father Dennis Buck will be serving Divine Liturgy this Sunday celebrating the ancestors of Christ at 10 a.m. Church School is held afterward for the children. The annual Lenten soup and bread fundraiser will be held following Liturgy.

On Tuesday at 10 a.m., Divine Liturgy celebrates St. Herman of Alaska.

Christmas caroling on Saturday, Dec. 17, will follow the 6:30 p.m. vespers.

Christ Reformed UCC in Cavetown, the Rev. Carol Hallman will speak at the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday on the topic, Listen to Mary.

Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m. The children's Christmas party is at 6 p.m. followed by a birthday party for Jesus.

Valley Assembly of God Christian Life Center, 17544 York Road, Hagerstown, the Rev. Robert C. Jones will speak on the topic, A Christmas Message - Simeon and Anna, at the 10 a.m. service this Sunday.

At the Sunday evening service, the topic is What Does It Mean to be Filled with the Holy Spirit?

Calvary United Methodist Church, Martinsburg, W.Va., the message at the 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. communion services this Sunday is Blameless At His Coming.

Zion United Church of Christ, the Rev. Robert Royal will speak at the 11 a.m. service this Sunday on the topic, Your Smile Increases Your Face Value.

Sunday school begins at 9:15 a.m. Christmas caroling will be held at 5 p.m. followed by a potluck supper at 7 p.m.

Calvary Grace Brethren Church, Pastor Doug Courter will speak at the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday continuing the topic, How to Look Good In Armor.

Pikeside United Methodist Church, Paynes Ford Road and U.S. 11, Martinsburg, W.Va., the Rev. Thomas Young Jr. will bring the message, The Herald of the King, at the 8:30 and 10:35 a.m. services this Sunday.

At 7 p.m., the orchestra will perform its Christmas concert.

Mount Vernon Reformed UCC, Keedysville, the Rev. Delancy Catlett will be installed as pastor at the 10:40 a.m. service this Sunday. The Rev. Jerrold Foltz will speak on the topic, Always a Time for Rejoicing.

Christ Reformed United Church of Christ, Sharpsburg, today at 4 p.m. the Catoctin Association, Central Atlantic Conference of the United Church of Christ will install the Rev. Delancy Catlett as the pastor of Christ Reformed. The Rev. Douglas Griffin will be preaching on the topic, Feed My Sheep.

On Sunday, Catlett will bring the message, Rejoice Always, during the 9 a.m. service this Sunday.

Children's Sunday school begins at 10 a.m.

Church of the Holy Trinity, Halfway, the Rev. Timothy Leighton will be conducting the 10:45 a.m. service this Sunday on the topic, Do You Know the ONE Standing Among You? Children's church meets during the service. Fellowship and light refreshments follow the service.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church, the Rev. David Kaplan will be preaching this Sunday at the 10:30 a.m. service on the topic, Advent Messages.

Tri-State Fellowship, 13153 Cearfoss Pike, Hagerstown, Pastor Randy Buchman will be speaking on a Christmas theme at the 9:30 a.m. service this Sunday in the auditorium and video cafe.

The children's program is also at 9:30 a.m. Learning centers are at 11 a.m.

Church of Christ in the Great Valley, Minister C.R. Strunk will be speaking this Sunday at 10 a.m. on the topic, God's Perfect Timing.

Wednesday night services begin at 7.

The congregation meets at the Woodmen of the World lodge on Reichard Road in Fairplay.

Shiloh United Methodist Church, Pastor Wayne Frum will speak at the 9:15 a.m. service this Sunday. The topic is The One Who Comes.
