Smoot says: "Bret Nalley has the best ability of anyone. He has made the states the last two seasons. Was 25-7 last year."

CHAMBERSBURG TROJANS



Head Coach: Doug Rine, 11th year

Returning starters: 10

Big things from: Ryan Wetzel, 125 senior; Joey Wilmot, 140 sophomore; David Plum, 135 senior.

Rine says: "We have 20-match winners in these three back from last year. They are guys coming back and will win us a lot of matches."

Head Coach: Fred Yelton, 7th year

Returning starters: 3

Big things from: Conrad Myers, 160 junior.

Yelton says: "Conrad is one of the top kids in the entire area, undefeated last year (25-0). And Chad Schick had a big year last year with 24 wins."

HEDGESVILLE EAGLES



Head Coach: Bill Whittington, 28th year

Returning starters: 8

Big things from: Joe Shetler, 135 senior.

Whittington says: "Shetler has over 100 career wins and is a three-time state qualifier. We have Justin Everhart, Greg Lyman, Dustin Foltz and other big winners that are state qualifiers."

JAMES BUCHANAN ROCKETS



Head Coach: William Mitchell, 4th year

Returning starters: 6

Big things from: Dustin Pine, 189 senior

Mitchell says: "Pine is a returning state qualifier and ranked fifth in the state (Class AA). His goal is to be in the top three at states and move on and wrestle in college. He knows what he has to do, and he'll get it done."

Head Coach: Ward Sigler, 2nd year

Returning starters: 5

Big things from: Colton Gustines, 112 junior

Sigler says: "Gustines finished fourth last year in the state at 103. He's up to 112 this year and I think he should seriously contend for the state title."

Big things from: Underclassmen

Hendrickson says: "We're very young with 16 underclassmen out of 27 on the roster. A number of our 10th- and 11th-graders are quite experienced."

Cagle says: "Haislip is returning state champion and was 38-2 last year. He's our leader."

Big things from: Derek McCarty, 171 senior; Delon Agee, 103 sophomore

Slick says: "McCarty was second-team MVAL last year and so was Agee. They should be big for us this year."

Dietrich says: "We have a strong group of wrestlers back in Miss, Gauss, Hovermale, McKenen, Knight and Reilley. And, we have a strong group of newcomers."

Big things from: Jimmy Sutch, 171 junior

Young says: "He's a returning two-time all-state wrestler. He put on 20 pounds this year and is in a lot better shape and much more determined."

SOUTH HAGERSTOWN REBELS



Head Coach: Ralph Stottlemyer, 9th year

Big things from: Jeremy Gross, 215-275 senior; Jake Hockensmith, 145-152 senior

Stottlemyer says: "Jeremy is my leader right now. But that Hockensmith boy, he sat out last year but he'll be a force to be reckoned with."

WAYNESBORO INDIANS



Head Coach: Aaron Taylor

Returning starters: 6

Big things from: James Brotemarkle, 103 sophomore

Taylor says: "Last year he was only 14-18 and only weighed 98. He is vastly improved. He has great conditioning and strength and is the best technical wrestler."

WILLIAMSPORT WILDCATS



Head Coach: Mike Rechtorovic, 3rd year

Big things from: Earl Neville, 112-119 junior; Todd Judd, 125-130 junior.

Rechtorovic says: "It's tough to pick one, but Earl and Todd are both going to be real tough for us this year."
