Olde Tyme Christmas


Olde Tyme Christmas activities scheduled in Harpers Ferry, W.Va., include lighting the yule log and caroling today at 7 p.m. Saturday's activities include arts and craft show at Hilltop Hotel from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; shops open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Wonderment Puppet Show at Children's Potomac Street tent at 1 p.m.; traditional Irish music at St. Peter's Catholic Church at 1:30 p.m.; and pipe organ concert at St. Peter's Catholic Church at 7 p.m. Sunday's activities include a pipe organ and violin concert at St. Peter's Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m.; and shops open in Harpers Ferry from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Valley Art open house


The Valley Art open house will include refreshments, door prizes and artwork of local artists, including original paintings, prints, photographs, one-of-a-kind handmade crafts and original artwork greeting cards. A local artist's painting or print will be raffled each night. Children must be accompanied by adults. Downtown open house


Each day, downtown businesses will have specials, music, refreshments and more. Activities include Pete Lancaster today from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the lobby of Roccoco; and Lunch with Santa on Saturday at Gourmet Goat, also includes a hayride through downtown Hagerstown and a photograph with Santa. $10, adults; $6, children. Coin show

Discovery Station


The Saturday Plus program will be presented by Anthony Mendez, a former CIA agent, "Master of Disguise." Programs Saturday at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. Discovery Station, 101 W. Memorial Illumination


Antietam National Battlefield will be transformed with glowing luminarias. Each luminaria represents the life of a soldier who was killed, wounded or missing in the Battle of Antietam.
