November 29, 2005

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - A two-vehicle crash in northern Fulton County claimed the life of a 31-year-old county man and seriously injured two other people near Waterfall, Pa., Pennsylvania State Police said Monday.

Jonathan L. Wible, of McConnellsburg, was killed after his southbound 1998 Oldsmobile sport utility vehicle collided with a northbound Chevrolet truck, police said. Wible was driving south on Pa. 475 when a truck driven by Marshall E. Deimler crossed the center line and collided with his vehicle, police said.

Deimler was traveling north on Pa. 475 (Waterfall Road) just north of Battle Ridge Road when he lost control while trying to negotiate a curve in the road, police said. The roadway was wet at the time, police said.

Deimler, 21, of Dillsburg, Pa., and Zella Shields, 42, of McConnellsburg, a passenger in Wible's vehicle, were flown to Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center, police said.
