St. John's Episcopal Church, Hagerstown, the Rev. Scott Bellows will deliver the Great Litany at the 8 and 10:15 a.m. communion services this Sunday. The youth choir will present music at the later service.

Christian education for all ages begins at 9 a.m.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, the Rev. Mark Mooney will be speaking at 9:30 a.m. this Sunday on the topic, The "Why?" of Christmas. Mooney and Joseph the puppet will also be featured at the service.

Sunday School classes for children, youth and adults are at 10:45 a.m. A five-week study which will continue through December focuses on Being a United Methodist: The Adventures of Discipleship.

St. Catherine Eastern Orthodox Church of Hagerstown, vespers tonight begin at 6:30.
