To our readers:

The Herald-Mail has installed a new color printing unit on our press.

For the past few weeks, we have experienced some mechanical challenges as we've integrated the new unit into regular production cycles of the newspaper.

We are doing our best to try to maintain the usual production schedules, but we've fallen short of the mark during the past few weeks.

As a result, we've had late delivery of both The Morning Herald and The Daily Mail.

We'd like to emphasize that the late delivery is not the fault of the carriers, but the result of our growing pains with the new equipment.


We offer two apologies.

The first to our to our readers, and the second to our independent contractors.

We recognize the inconvenience, and are doing all we can to correct production problems as they arise.
