Christmas in Shepherdstown

A variety of activities including music, a bonfire, tree-lighting, dinner and more. Today through Sunday, Dec. 4., Shepherdstown, W.Va.

'Trains of Christmas'

The four-level display will include 60 switches, 23 operating trains, 200 miniature people and about 75 miniature buildings. 1 to 5 p.m. today, Saturday and Sunday. Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum, 300 S. Burhans Blvd., Hagerstown. $4, adults; 50 cents, ages 3 to 12.


The show will feature trains, railroadiana, railroad collectibles in all gauges, brass, Lionel and American Flyer, hobby tools and white elephant table. Sponsored by Hagerstown Model Railroad Museum. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Victorian Christmas

The event will include storytelling, food, St. Nicholas, holiday music and caroling, ornament making, model railroad layout and more. To participate in the ornament contest, create or decorate a holiday ornament and bring to the museum by today. Voting will be held by 3 p.m. Saturday. Ornaments can be purchased on Sunday. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Brunswick Railroad Museum, 40 W. Potomac St., Brunswick, Md.

Discovery Station

Saturday Plus' program will be Dean Burkett, "The Magic Man." Burkett will present some magic routines with audience participation. Included will be balloon sculptures and how to become a magician. 1, 2 and 3 pm. Saturday. Sunday Extra will feature Jay Frantz and "The Thrill of Skydiving." See skydiving techniques with safety first. 2 and 3 p.m. Sunday. Discovery Station, 101 W. Washington St., Hagerstown. $7, adults; $6, ages 2 to 17; $5, seniors ages 55 and older and military. Gallery Quartet

Washington County Museum of Fine Arts' Gallery Quartet will perform. 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, City Park, Hagerstown.

Richard Troxell and Friends
