Faith Christian Girls



Under first-year coach Jeff Adels, Faith Christian opened the girls season with a split of two games at the Mountain View Tournament.

In the opener on Nov. 17, Faith posted a 54-40 victory over the host Mountain View team as junior Danni Kearns scored 21 points. Bert Brancato added 12 and Hannah Carter contributed 11.

In the championship game on Nov. 19, Faith fell to United Christian, 48-33. Kearns led the scoring with 14 points and Carter had 11.

Faith Christian opened its boys season with a hat trick as it captured the Mountain View Tip Off Tournament title.

On Saturday, Nov. 19, Faith dropped United Christian, 62-43, behind Chris Apple's 12, 10-rebound outing and 10 points and 6 assists from Justin Way.

One day earlier, the Falcons downed Grace Academy, a regular-season opponent in the Mason Dixon Christian Conference, 52-40. Way hit 7 of 11 from the free throw line and led Faith Christian with 11 points. In the first-round opener on Nov. 15, Faith defeated United Christian 50-46 as Apple as 16 points and 10 rebounds and Way scored 15 points.
