Head-Distad



Dr. Jeffrey and Kimberly Head of Thurmont, Md., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Lauren Head, to Bradley Distad, son of Ed and Bonnie Distad of Hagerstown.

Miss Head is a 1999 graduate of Catoctin High School, received a bachelor's degree from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich., and is pursuing a master's degree in art education at the Maryland Institute of Art in Baltimore. She is employed as an art teacher at Northern Middle School in Hagerstown.

Mr. Distad is a 1994 graduate of Boonsboro High School, received a bachelor's degree in geography from the University of Maryland, a bachelor's degree in theater from McDaniel College and is pursuing a master's degree in secondary education. He is employed as a math teacher at Boonsboro High School, where he also serves as varsity soccer coach and Young Life Mission Staff.

A Dec. 23, 2005, wedding is planned.

Baker-Dodson



Mr. and Mrs. David Lynn Baker of Boonsboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Lori Lynn Baker, to David Andrew Dodson, son of Elmer F. Dodson Jr. of Hag-erstown and Theresa Ann Keyser of Greencastle, Pa.

Ms. Baker is a 1997 graduate of Boonsboro High School and received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Frostburg State University. She is employed as a third-grade teacher at Conococheague Elementary School.

Mr. Dodson is a 1992 graduate of Grace Academy and received a bachelor's degree in secondary education from Lee University. He is employed as a residential director at ARC of Washington County Inc.

A June 17, 2006, wedding is planned.

Bergen-Ranson



Michael and Denise Bergen of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Crystal Marie Bergen, to Sean Fitzgerald Ranson, son of Jerry and Tara Ranson of Tega Cay, S.C.

Miss Bergen is a 2001 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School and a 2005 graduate of Lynchburg College, where she earned a bachelor's degree in biomedical science.

Mr. Ranson is a 2001 graduate of Olentangy High School of Columbus, Ohio, and a 2005 graduate of Lynchburg College in Virginia.He received a bachelor's degree in business administration and is employed by Philip Morris in Charlotte, N.C.

An August 2006 wedding is planned.
