For John Kuhn Jr., photography is a passion, a stress reliever, an expression and one day, he hopes it will be a career.

The accountant-by-day, photographer-by-all-other-times, focuses on "fine art nature photography," he says. He especially enjoys nautical scenes and flowers as subjects. Kuhn says he's always looking for unique lighting and different angles when he's out in nature.

"Sometimes you get lucky," he says.

Kuhn, of Middletown, Md., has been taking pictures since he bought his first "real camera" in 1975. He often submits his work to photography competitions and his images can be seen during the Cumberland Valley Photographic Salon juried photography show at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts.
