No-parking signs to be discussed Thursday

November 09, 2005

BOONSBORO - Plans to put up no-parking signs on Saint Paul Street will yield to residents' concerns.

Boonsboro Town Manager John L. Kendall recommended the town council hold off putting up the signs after a resident in the affected area submitted a petition with five residents asking for another solution to a situation that has raised concerns about safety.

According to Kendall, street parking in the area near High Street and the alley leading toward the Habitat for Humanity homes creates so much congestion that firetrucks cannot proceed down the road.

Residents in the affected area can discuss the situation at the Boonsboro Police and Public Safety Committee this Thursday, Kendall said.
