A Hagerstown man was charged with several drug offenses Saturday after crack cocaine was sold to a police informant, Hagerstown Police said.
Anthony Lewis Petway, 39, of 140 W. Franklin St., was charged with distributing drugs, possession of drugs with the intent to distribute, drug possession and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Washington County District Court documents.
The informant asked Petway for $60 worth of crack cocaine in the parking lot of Nadia's, at 200 W. Franklin St., documents state. Petway later sold the informant three pieces of crack cocaine, documents allege.
Officers arrested Petway at the intersection of Baltimore and South Walnut streets.
While searching Petway, officers found two glass pipes and two blue pills, documents allege.
Petway was being held Tuesday on $125,000 bail at the Washington County Detention Center, according to a spokeswoman there.
