Washington County received a clean audit for fiscal year 2005, according to a financial report by Smith Elliott Kearns & Co.

The County Commissioners reviewed the report at Tuesday's meeting.

The county finished the fiscal year, which ended June 30, with total net assets of $464.5 million. That's nearly a $19 million increase over the previous year's total net assets of $445.8 million, the report states.

The net assets are what's left after the total liabilities are subtracted. The county's total liabilities for fiscal year 2005 were $221.8 million, according to the report.
