Al-Anon/Alateen Family Groups

Leukemia, lymphoma

The John R. Marsh Cancer Center, in partnership with Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Maryland Chapter, sponsors a support group for patients and families affected by blood cancer: leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, MDS or myeloma. For details, call 301-665-4650.

Grandparents as Caregivers support

Tuesday, Nov. 1, Covenant Presbyterian Church, 11833 Greenhill Drive, Hagerstown. Sponsored by Washington County Commission on Aging to offer support and education to grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. The program will be "Taking Care of You - Stress Management." MOMS Club - Hagerstown North Chapter

Tuesday, Nov. 1, 10 a.m., Homewood Retirement Village, Williamsport. This chapter of the national nonprofit support group is for all mothers who stay at home with their children. A guest speaker will address breast cancer. The group is looking for moms interested in starting the MOMS Club - Hagerstown, South Chapter. Activities include speakers, play groups and community service projects. Mothers may bring their children to all MOMS club activities. National Alliance for the Mentally Ill
