'Gift' auditions set



BRUNSWICK, Md. - Brunswick Players will hold auditions for O. Henry's short story, "The Gift of the Magi" from 7:45 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at Beans in the Belfry Caf, 122 W. Potomac St.

No experience is necessary.

Performances will be held Saturday, Nov. 26, and Sunday, Nov. 27, as part of The Brunswick Railroad Museum's annual Victorian Christmas.

Holiday show announced



MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - The Arts Centre, in partnership with The Heritage Craft Center of the Eastern Panhandle, announces a call for artists to participate in its upcoming holiday show and sale.

The 19th annual holiday show and sale opens Thursday, Nov. 17, and runs through Friday, Dec. 23.

Work from regional artisans and fine crafters will be accepted between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, until Friday, Nov. 11, at The Arts Center, 229 E. Main St., Suite 300, next to the train station in downtown Martinsburg.

The works will be juried by submitted sample, photo or slide.

Herbal labyrinth



Walkers can pick up herb plants and walk one or both of the labyrinths at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Hagerstown, 13245 Cearfoss Pike, Hagerstown, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12.

Herb plants will be available for sale. The church opens its labyrinths to the public the second Saturday of every month. In inclement weather, labyrinths might close. Go to www.uuhagerstownmd.org.
