Corrections

October 29, 2005

Due to a source's error, a statement by Donnie Piper in a story about candidates for the Tuscarora School Board on page B1 of Friday's Morning Herald did not convey what Piper intended to say. Piper said Friday that he meant to say it is the school district that is in disarray.

Due to a reporter's error, a story about gas prices that appeared on page A3 of Friday's edition of The Morning Herald and on page A1 of Friday's edition of The Daily Mail listed the average price in Hagerstown as $2.359 according to AAA. The price AAA provided for a low on Thursday was $2.369. A graphic included with both stories did not include enough information about the calculations used to determine the average cost for 15 gallons of gasoline. The calculation is based on a rolling seven-day average. The graphic appears in today's newspaper on page A2.
