CLEAR SPRING - Deputies charged a Baltimore man in an arrest warrant with the May 16 armed robbery of McDonald's, 12828 Clear Spring Road in Clear Spring.
Joseph McClean, 34, of Baltimore, was charged Wednesday with armed robbery, robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, theft, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault and two counts of false imprisonment, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
McClean is in jail in Baltimore on unrelated robbery charges. Deputies said McClean first became a suspect in the May 16 robbery when he and three others were charged in August with a series of armed robberies at fast-food restaurants in Baltimore.
Witnesses at the Clear Spring McDonald's identified McClean as one of the men involved in the robbery, deputies said. The investigation was continuing.
