The Dual Highway is a disaster waiting to happen. Someone should have known several years ago that putting a large medical facility such as Robinwood near a busy highway would create more congestion. Now they want to put the hospital next to it. Doesn't anyone have a long-range plan?"

There should be many more community centers using taxpayers' money to keep kids off the streets."

"This is to the woman in Greencastle, Pa., whose husband has been a truck driver for 10 years. All I've got to say is, 'way to go.' Trucks bring our food and supplies and everything we need. They're the ones who brought relief to the hurricane victims and so on. They should all be praised for their hard work and long hours. Trucks are being made better right here in Hagerstown. I build truck engines and transmissions for a living. These truck drivers are good guys and women. Everyone should be proud of every trucker out there."

"I've been reading Mail Call lately, and I'm tired of people complaining about the ice rink in Hagerstown being subsidized or helped with finances. I have nothing to do with the ice rink whatsoever, but these little kids love ice skating, and if I had little children I would gladly take them. I think it's wonderful for kids to learn skating and hockey. How come you don't complain about other sports being subsidized? I coached Little League for 14 years, and I think it's great for kids to have the ice rink. God bless them."
