Flu shot clinics planned



The following flu shot clinics will be offered:

Friday, Oct. 28, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Eugene C. Clark Jr. Community Center (Chambersburg Recreation Center), Chambersburg, Pa. Pneumonia shots offered.

Monday, Nov. 7, 9 a.m. to noon, Fort Loudon Senior Center, Fort Loudon, Pa. Pneumonia shots offered.




Fall luncheon



MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Community Alternatives to Violence will hold its fall luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at St. Joseph's Parish Hall, 235 S. Queen St.

Bill Carrigan, psychologist and group facilitator, will be the speaker.

Community Alternatives to Violence is a 10-year program whose mission is to stop violence against women in the Eastern Panhandle.

Biker drive



A blood drive for bikers will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at Washington County Blood Center, 1131 Conrad Court, Hagerstown.

Chili Bowl



FREDERICK, Md. - Annual pottery sale and chili bowl event. Enjoy free chili and hot cider. Dan Olson and Friend will provide music. Artwork on display includes pottery, jewelry, paintings, linoleum block prints, stained glass, glass work, clothing and sculpture. Local potter, Dan Blackmore will donate $4 from every bowl sold to Community Commons, a local watershed conservation group. 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29; noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30. 9316 White Rock Ave.
