QUINCY, Pa. - A Waynesboro, Pa., man died Saturday night in a one-vehicle crash on Tomstown Road in Quincy Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police and Franklin County Coroner Jeffrey R. Conner.

Conner pronounced Daryl L. Wagner, 36, of 8789 Mormon Church Road, dead at the scene of the accident in the 8800 block of Tomstown Road. Wagner died of blunt force head trauma, according to Conner, who said there would be no autopsy.

Police said Wagner was driving south at 11:18 p.m. when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle went off the west side of the road, striking a fence and a guardrail. The vehicle then went into a yard, rolled over several times and Wagner was thrown from it, police said.

Wagner, who was alone in the vehicle, was not wearing a seat belt, Conner said. He believed Wagner was driving an Isuzu sport utility vehicle, but he did not know the model.

The accident happened about a mile from Wagner's home, Conner said.

A graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School, Wagner had worked at Charles E. Brake Co. Inc. of St. Thomas, Pa., for several years, his father Daryl Wagner said Sunday. The father said Daryl Wagner has a son with his wife, Kim, and three stepchildren.

He said his son enjoyed sports and the outdoors and liked to hunt.
