Hagerstown Garden Club

Wednesday, Oct. 26, 11:30 a.m., Four Points Sheraton, Dual Highway, Hagerstown. Annual luncheon. Mark Jordon of Flowers Unlimited will present "Designing for the Holidays with a Distinctive Flare." Tickets cost $20. Proceeds will be used for the landscaping surrounding the grounds of Washington County Museum.

Valley Art Association

Wednesday, Oct. 26, art supply sale from 5 to 7 p.m., meeting at 7 p.m., Mansion House Art Gallery, City Park, Hagers-town. Janie Moltrup, photographer, will offer a demonstration of lighting and posing a subject. Art supplies and books will be sold starting at 5 p.m. Refreshments. The holiday party will be held at Washington County Playhouse Saturday, Dec. 10. Tickets for dinner and the play cost $25 per person and should be paid for at this meeting. Guests are welcome. Heritage Christmas "Lights of Love"

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Now through the tree lighting ceremony, Friday, Nov. 18, 7 p.m., on the Square. Light bulbs, designated "in celebration of" or "in memory of" a loved one are for sale at a cost of $6 per name. The name of the person celebrated or remembered will be recorded on a scroll to be displayed in the window of First National Bank of Greencastle. In addition, a card will be mailed to the person of your choice telling them a light has been designated by you. To have time to record names on the scroll, information must be received by Nov. 4. Cards will be mailed for requests received after that date, but it will be too late to be included on the scroll. "Lights of Love" forms are available at the Chamber of Commerce, 217 E., Baltimore St., all banks in the Greencastle-Antrim community or call 1-717-597-4610 to have a form mailed to you. Send forms, with a check for $6 for each name, to Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 175, Greencastle, PA 17225.

First Hub Scramble

Monday, Oct. 24, shotgun start at 9 a.m., Black Rock Golf Course, 20025 Mount Aetna Road, Hagerstown. Scramble format. There will be door prizes, long drive contest, putting contest and a new car for a hole in one; first-, second- and third-place prizes in two flights. Washington Redskins players, Mark Mosley and Gary Clark are scheduled to appear. Cost is $100 per player or $400 for a team and includes lunch and beverages.
