'La Cage' auditions set



FREDERICK, Md. - Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre will hold auditions for "La Cage aux Folles." All roles are are open except for Georges. Those auditioning should prepare 16 bars of music; be ready to sing, read and dance. Headshots and resumes are appreciated but not required.

Auditions begin at 7:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31. The show runs Fridays and Saturdays and select Sundays from Jan. 20, to March 11, 2006.

Bike route input wanted



FREDERICK, Md. - The City of Frederick is seeking 10 citizens interested in participating in the Bike Route Project. The intent of the Bike Route Project is to create a marked route from the east to west side of the city.

Art sought for holiday show



FREDERICK, Md. - Artists are invited to submit entries for the annual Holiday Art Competition sponsored by the Holiday Committee of Historic Frederick. This year's theme is "The Holidays in Historic Frederick."

The winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize and the artwork will be used for the 2006 Winter Holiday Promotional Package.

The deadline to submit an entry is Friday, Oct. 28. There is a $10 entry fee. Entry forms are available online at www.celebratefrederick.com or by calling The City of Frederick's Office of Special Events at 1-301-228-2844.

Artwork may be dropped off at Delaplaine Visual Arts Center, 40 S. Carroll St., Frederick, on Nov. 27 or 28.
