Man facing multiple charges fails to appear in district court

A Hagerstown man charged with 121 counts of theft, forgery and creating false documents failed to appear in court Thursday.

Keith L. Wills, 36, of 17956 Garden Lane, Apt. 2, also was charged with one count of theft scheme, according to Washington County District Court charging documents. Wills' previous address is listed as 4 Fleming Drive in Hancock.

Wills was working at Golden West, at 59 W. Main St. in Hancock, when he allegedly forged numerous checks, spending more than $27,000 that belonged to TJMM Inc., documents state. The checks allegedly were forged between May 21, 2004, and March 7, 2005.

Documents state Wills forged nearly 60 checks.

A warrant was issued for Wills' arrest when he did appear in court Thursday, documents state.
