October 17, 2005

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police in Fulton County were investigating a burglary last week at an auto dealership in which a vehicle, tools and car parts worth $60,000 were reported stolen.

Police said the garage area of Thomas Chevrolet, 21518 Great Cove Road, was forcibly entered between 11 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, and 7 a.m. Tuesday. Several office doors also were damaged and police said the keys to a silver 2005 Chevrolet Silverado SS were taken.

The pickup was backed into a maintenance bay and loaded with parts and tools, police said. Damage to building doors and filing cabinets was estimated at $1,000.

The truck had not been recovered as of Sunday evening, police said.
