St. John's Episcopal Church, Hagerstown, Alice Groesbeck and Nick Sanderson will deliver the sermon at the 8 and 10:15 a.m. children's sabbath services this Sunday.

Pianist Colin Lodter and the children's and youth choirs will present special music at the later service.

Christian education for all ages begins at 9 a.m.




Asbury United Methodist Church, Shepherdstown, W.Va., Anthony Hunt will lead the 11 a.m. service this Sunday on the topic, Becoming Extraordinary People.

Sunday school for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m.

On Wednesdays, a program of prayer and praise begins at 6:30 p.m. followed at 7 p.m. by Bible study.

Lay leader Mark DiLandro will also be featured at the service.

St. Catherine Eastern Orthodox Church of Hagerstown, vespers tonight begin at 6 in conjunction with the 2nd annual harvest hayride party at Scenic View Orchard in Sabillasville.

The children's program is also at 9:30 a.m. Learning centers are at 11 a.m.




Shiloh United Methodist Church, Pastor Wayne Frum will speak on the topic, With Power, at the 9:15 a.m. service this Sunday.

A praise club concert begins at 6 p.m.




St. Peter's (Beard's) Lutheran Church, Old Forge Road, the Rev. David Baker will be speaking at the 9:15 a.m. service this Sunday. The topic is Render Under Caesar.

Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Missions Sunday will be observed during the 9:30 a.m. service. Representatives of Girls Inc. and the Girls and Boys Club of Washington County will share information about their work during the service and Sunday school.
