Planning Commission busy with rezoning

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - The Washington Township Planning and Zoning Commission took the following actions on rezoning applications at Monday night's meeting:

  • C. David and Barbara Layman, 12.6 acres off Old Forge Road, from medium-density residential to commercial. The property, abutting the Rouzerville Commons commercial development, was recommended for approval by the Board of Township Supervisors.

  • WAM Enterprises Inc., 78 acres along the proposed Washington Township Boulevard, from agricultural to low- density residential. Recommended the application not be approved.

  • George and Ellen Mason, 78 acres along the proposed Washington Township Boulevard, from agricultural to low- density residential. Tabled.

  • D.L. George & Sons, two parcels on Midvale Road totaling about 2.4 acres, from low-density residential to commercial. The parcels abutting the company's commercially zoned property were recommended for approval.

  • Harold Strite, approximately 3 acres on Stottlemyer Road, from low-density residential to commercial. Tabled.
