Calling all Halloween enthusiasts! The Herald-Mail wants to find the most original, creative Halloween costume in the Tri-State area. If you think you've got a costume that stands way out, you could win $50 and have your costume featured in the newspaper.

There is no age restriction for entrants, costumes may be created by the tiniest tot up to the hippest grandma. Costumes must be created in 2005 and must be available to be modeled on Tuesday, Oct. 18. Store-bought costumes are not allowed, and judges will base their decision on creativity and originality.
To enter the costume contest, send a picture of your uniquely created costume and a brief description, including the materials used to make it to The Herald-Mail by noon Monday, Oct. 17. The winning costume will be announced in the newspaper Sunday, Oct. 23.
Entries can be e-mailed to lifestyle@herald-mail.com with JPG or TIF file photo attachments. Write "costume contest" in the subject line. To hand deliver an entry, come to The Herald-Mail office at 100 Summit Ave. in Hagerstown, or mail it to The Herald-Mail, c/o Costume Contest, P.O. Box 439, Hagerstown, Md.
