Horse conference Nov. 19 in Westminster

The University of Maryland Horse Conference will be Nov. 19 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Carroll County Community College in Westminster, Md., the Maryland Cooperative Extension Equine Focus Team announced.

Designed for all horse industry enthusiasts, the conference offers talks on such topics as horse health care, nutrition, pasture management and equine business management.

Dr. Temple Grandin from Colorado State University will lecture on equine behavior and welfare. Vendors will be there to show off products.

Admission and lunch costs $30 for adults and $15 for youths, ages 17 and younger. Registrations are due by Nov. 4.
