Man stabbed in thigh in Hagerstown



A 22-year-old man was stabbed in the left thigh Sunday night during a fight in the unit block of Berner Avenue in Hagerstown's West End, the Hagerstown Police Department said in a written release.

Police said the man, whose identity was not released, was taken to Washington County Hospital for treatment after the fight, reported at 11:15 p.m.

The man's attacker is described as a Hispanic male, according to the release.

The stabbing allegedly occurred during a fight among a group of people in the street before police arrived, according to the release.

Cat reported missing after break-in in Pa.



GREENCASTLE, Pa. - A Greencastle woman's cat has been missing since she said someone broke into her home Friday or Saturday, police said.

The woman told Pennsylvania State Police that someone entered her home in the 700 block of Allison Drive through a window in the garage, police said. The woman said it appeared that only her cat was taken from her home, police said.
