Armed man robs Greencastle bank

October 08, 2005

GREENCASTLE, Pa.

A gun-wielding man walked into the branch of the Orrstown Bank on the public square mid-afternoon Friday, robbed the tellers of cash and fled on foot, according to acting Greencastle Police Chief Graig Wagner.

Police were still at the bank shortly before 5 p.m. interviewing witnesses. A sign on the door said the bank was closed.

The robbery, committed by a slim, white male, about 6-feet tall wearing a blue-hooded pullover and sunglasses, occurred around 3:15 p.m., Wagner said.
