Council OKs doors for the handicapped

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - The Borough Council agreed Wednesday to allow the Alexander Memorial Free Library to replace the two front entrance doors with American with Disabilities Act handicapped-accessible doors, following a unanimous vote.

The inner and outer entrance doors will be rebuilt to open automatically. The money for the project, about $64,000, can be found in the borough's Community Development Block Grant funds, said Borough Manager Lloyd Hamberger.

The borough owns the library building adjacent to the Borough Hall.
