BOONSBORO - Public hearings to discuss changes in zoning fill Boonsboro Town Council's slate this fall.

The council plans to meet at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 2 to discuss an amendment to the zoning ordinance involving decks for town houses.

The council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 7 to discuss an amendment to the town's comprehensive plan and town center expansion.

According to Town Manager John Kendall, the council will discuss changes to the comprehensive plan to reflect its plans to expand Boonsboro's boundaries to Mill Point Road.

A change in zoning, which would allow a mix of businesses and houses, would expand the town center south along South Main Street to High Street, Kendall said after Monday night's meeting. The change would affect only the east side of the street.
